Description

The Tuesday Club meet on the third Tuesday of the month at Stow-on-the-Wold Library. All are welcome for a coffee, chat and a warm welcome.

On Tuesday 21 April, John Putley from Gloucestershire Archives will be joining us to present the following talk:

Secrets Revealed: Tall Stories!

Gloucestershire has been the home of and inspiration for numerous authors and storytellers over the years, some well-known others less so.  This presentation will look at some of the work of these writers such as Gurney, Harvey, Moore and Lee as well as many others.   We will also look at the county’s other literary connections, ranging from weary ways, rabbit holes, pirates, faeries, cricket pavilions and even a ring of power.

Tickets are free, and we encourage you to book ahead where possible.

Gloucestershire Libraries are committed to creating an inclusive community and are working towards a place where everyone feels welcome, safe and valued for who they are. Our events are for everyone: We welcome you whatever your socio-economic background, ability, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. If you have any access requirements or if you need further information about the event, please contact [email protected] ahead of the session.
